Meet Ms. Reid who lives in Easley, SC. She has advanced dementia and has a daughter who lives with her as her caregiver. Ms. Reid was no longer able to step into her tub so her daughter was having to give her sponge baths. That ended up being a fortunate thing as the tub was about to fall through the floor due to a prolonged roof leak. This led to a complete remodel of her bathroom, including replacing all floor and ceiling joists and vanity. The tub was replaced with a walk-in shower. Her roof is being replaced by a grant through Greer Community Outreach.
Ms. Reid and her daughter were most appreciative of the great improvement to their quality of life.

While we were completing Ms. Reid’s bathroom, it was discovered that her water heater wasn’t working, so the element was replaced. Now she can take a hot shower in her new bathroom.
Due to her dementia, all she could say was “thank you” over and over. But we knew by the look on her face how appreciative she was. She was at peace and full of joy.
