Mr. & Mrs. Swafford are elderly and live in a single wide mobile home in Liberty, SC. Mr. Swafford has COPD and dementia. They receive disability with very low income. Their living conditions are dire…..no sink in the kitchen, plywood on two floors, no stove receptacle, no HVAC, leaking roof, in need of a ramp and a tub-to-shower conversion, and window replacements.
This is obviously a large project with a budget of $8,000.00. We need volunteers as well as financial help on this one. We appreciate any help you may be able to give us to restore the Swaffords to safe, sanitary and secure conditions while making a huge difference in their quality of life. If these changes are not made, they are at risk of becoming homeless.

PROJECT DETAILS
Thanks to many of you who responded financially and two great teams of volunteers, we were able to complete the home repairs this week, including a new kitchen, leaking roof, a ramp, tub to shower conversion and rear exit steps.
Their quality of life was greatly improved and are now able to age in place.
