Meet Janice and John Taylor who currently need our help.  Janice has colon and liver cancer and John has a pacemaker due to congestive heart failure.  Both use walkers.

Their home has several areas of soft flooring which is unsafe.  They both have problems getting in and out of the tub.

Our plan is to replace the subflooring in the second bath, remove the tub in the master bath and install a walk-in shower with grab bars.  We will also install new LVT flooring in the kitchen and both bathrooms.

The budget for this worthy project is $2,000.00.  If you are able to help,  please click the DONATE button.  It will be greatly appreciated by the Taylors.

PROJECT DETAILS

October 16, 2020

Not only did we have overwhelming support of our efforts to help this family, two donors who wanted to go above and beyond, made it possible for us to be able to present a $2,000.00 check to Janice and John to help with their medical bills.  Needless to say they were humbled and so thankful.  Janice had shared that she could only pay a little on each bill each month.  This will help them tremendously.

Thanks to the men of Zion UMC, they also received a new kitchen and bathroom floor as well as a new walk-in shower with a seat and grab bars.  Janice said “I got in the shower last night and I didn’t want to get out!”  One of the side effects of her chemo treatment is that she is cold all of the time, so a warming, safe shower is very therapeutic.

They both expressed their deep gratitude to all of those who made this happen.  They, and we, give all the glory and praise to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
