Mr. Ayers, is a 92 year old WWII and Korean War veteran. He is sole caretaker of his 65 year old daughter, Brenda, who has cerebral palsy. The ceiling in the living room where they spend most of their time, was falling in an being held up with a crutch. The bathtub was being used for storage as it was inoperable. We repaired the ceiling with the help of Vets Helping Vets. We also replaced the bathtub with a walk-in shower and replaced the toilet. Unfortunately, Mr. Ayers’ health is failing and he is unable to take care of Brenda so we are working with other agencies to find her a hoe and make his life as comfortable as possible for now.
